Gabriel Popescu (Urbana, IL)</strong> is an Assistant  Professor at Beckman Institute for Advanced Science &amp; Technology, Department  of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Bioengineering, University of  Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He and his colleagues started the Nanobiophotonics  Summer School at the Beckman Institute in 2009. The school was sponsored by the  Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN), which is funded by the National  Science Foundation. Plans for future Nanobiophotonics Summer School sessions are  currently underway.</p>

David S. Findley (South Huntington, NY)</strong> is an Assistant Professor at Farmingdale State College. He is also the owner of Synergy New Technology, a not-for-profit organization that develops and sells green technology, provides global solutions with the development of partnerships with government, corporations, education, venture capitalists, and individuals, and develops local, regional, and national climate change projects. Mr. Findley has six years of college engineering, green technology education, business, and environmental sciences education. He has overseen the development of a green engineering sciences curriculum. Mr. Findley also has 3 years of environmental science and green business development. He is currently working on a number of professional projects that include a Discovery Channel television program from the Automotive Technology Department; researching product development of prototypes for industry; and GREEN DAY at Farmingdale State College.</p>
