Gabriel Popescu (Urbana, IL)
is an Assistant Professor at Beckman Institute for Advanced Science & Technology, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Bioengineering, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He and his colleagues started the Nanobiophotonics Summer School at the Beckman Institute in 2009. The school was sponsored by the Network for Computational Nanotechnology (NCN), which is funded by the National Science Foundation. Plans for future Nanobiophotonics Summer School sessions are currently underway.
